This was amazing! An easy FIVE star!
This one, definitely, will be on my Fav read of the year!
To be honest I listened to the audiobook and didn't read it myself- (first audiobook ever).
In the past, I did try to listen to some audiobooks but never was able to concentrate and get every word they say! the reader this time is really the best!
The book was full of suspense. when the truth was unfolded I was speechless, I didn't expect it at all!
Everything unfolds by the second half of the book. the pieces connect to build the whole image in a way that makes the jaw drop and the heartache!
It is a sad story. you will cry!
Also, it made me think that life is full of choices that we think are better for us but sadly they turn to be the (careful what you wish for) thing.
Highly Recommended!

✨ The Title/Cover Draw:
This book was recommended by @alexandra_roselyn and I was super interested in the plot and secrecy.

Poor little rich girl, purple prose, bring in love with your cousin (by marriage)
I found the personification of pain interesting, but it made me bored for some reason. I liked the ending, although I wish it would have been reveled a different way. I thought

Acceptance of grief is a gift not many can accept, much less survive, in the tragedy of the matter. The same can be observed in the case of Cadence Sinclair Eastman, the protagonist of the novel, who cherishes her summers with her cousins, away from problems and the angst of teenage life, to enjoy love, memory and family. Except, a tragedy occurs that spoils her memory and leaves her questioning of her existence.
We Were Liars focuses on the relationship dynamic between family and oneself, and the acceptance of illusion aligned with grief. A novel with underlying mysteriousness and a void to question the validity of the storyline, e. lockhart portrays life's dilemma's with conviction and doubt at the same time.
For the ones who find life's chaos entertaining, but confusing to tangle out of.

There is nothing interesting or unpredictable this book is, except for how full of its own self importance it is. The end was pretty clear by about fifty pages in and it was pretentious as hell. Spoiled fucked up rich family is not the slightest bit original or appealing, and this book made that frightfully clear.
