3.5 stars. Until the ending, it was a 3-star book for me. The twist gives it an extra half star. I wanted more plot to the book, conflict, action. To be fair, I didn’t read the synopsis…I just read it because it was Ivy and Raven, and I generally like both of their books. It’s a good palate cleanser, a little spicy-fluffy read.

Why not? It was ridiculous but fun.

Wow I don't even know what to say right now so I guess I'll keep it simple with a few notes.
1. Remi is hilarious, amazing, and beautifully self confident with some very interesting animal bonds.
2. Madix, Brant and Theo are fantastic characters who felt very real, which doesn't always happen in standalones that only have one book for us to get to know the characters.
3. I don't think I stopped laughing for more than a few pages at a time. Remi, these guys, even the old lady in town had me dying with laughter throughout the entire story.
and 4. OH MY GOD I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING!!!!!!!! (which is all I will say to avoid the seriously huge spoiler I'm dying to talk about)
April's Fools turned out to be very different from what I was expecting, and I haven't been this pleasantly surprised in a very long time. I really hope these two awesome authors team up again in the future because I am more than ready to read anything they write!

Hilarious antics, loads of shenanigans
Wow, just wow.
That was a trip, it was funny, and serious, and witty all in one fell swoop.
The back story and the anguish the men went through was palpable from chapter one. It was heartbreaking, yet empowering to see how they came to terms with their past, and how it affected their present. The authors captured this perfectly.
Remi and her possum, oh how I loved her freak flag flying style. Please no one ever attempt to cuddle, cook for, or engage a wild animal. This is a story, a darn good one,but a story. I thought it was hilarious, everything she did and said was a shock, I burst out laughing quite a few times from her antics.
All in all, great book. Perfect stand alone to wade into these two authors! I highly recommend!
