this was a great followup to All Her Little Secrets with Vera’s background. i really appreciated her and Magnolia’s stories. i was really sad when Hank died because i wanted Vera to be happy, even though i knew it wasn’t her journey. i also appreciated the work Magnolia did for civil rights, even if she had some bumps along the way. i was glad she had a happy ending. i’m so glad that Vera got Hank’s house, too. overall i enjoyed this and i’m glad i picked it up.
