Oh my! I really liked All Her Little Secrets, but this book! The characters were so vibrant and the story was amazing.

Please please please let their be a sequel to this and All Her Little Secrets!

3.5 - hard to read due to the content, and periodically difficult for me to keep details straight as a tired parent listening to an audiobook, but a good read overall.

I’ve never had someone rip my heart out and crush it the way Miss Wanda did in this novel. Hezekiah Cummings is being gone the way he was has destroyed me. Like why would you do that. Why make me love him then rip my heart out!!! Anyway, I’d read this again even though imma cry lol.

I really enjoyed this book. It was not what I was expecting. It was less thriller for me and more historical fiction. I loved the characters so much. Parts truly broke my heart, parts enraged me and parts made me smile. I will read more from this author!
