I didn’t dislike this, it was a cute story with a great use of magic. In fact, the magic lore parts were my favourites! I just found some of the context for events lacking: like the romance was already there, it didn’t really build? And sometimes the illustrations were hard to read; it wasn’t my favourite art style.
But hey, I appreciated the diversity of the characters and the magical elements!

This was a delight! Such a sweet romance. I absolutely loved the disability representation that was perfectly added as a part of life but not an issue. I thought the family issues were super relatable and really well done in this short format. The art is also amazing.

This was such a quick and easy read. The comic follows Tam as they return to their old town are they're secretly trying to deal with something. Meanwhile, Nova is working with her grandmothers at their shop. Nova's friend Tatyana tells her about something strange happening in the woods and Nova is surprised to run into her childhood friend (and crush), Tam.
It's a fast paced story encompassing found family, acceptance, and the power of fighting together with those you love. Not without It's own twist and hidden secrets, Mooncakes is a cute comic about a witch and a werewolf who can take on anything as long as they're together.

It was very cute and fluffy. I liked Tam and Nova very much. They are absolutely adorable together. But Nova's gradmothers take the top spot for me. It was wholesome. It is refreshing to see such great friendships and positivity in general. That made my heart happy. Also the artwork is beautiful which is an added bonus.
I just had a small issue, to me the chapters felt a little choppy. So at times I felt a bit disconnected with the story. I cannot say the plot necessarily worked for me. I mean it was ok. This I think is totally a me thing and not a problem with the book. I would still recommend to check this out.
