“At all events, let us examine the position from the point of view of murder, not suicide."
"Oh, all right. If you are on the scene, it probably would be murder!"
For a moment Poirot smiled. "I hardly like that remark.”
This title features 4 novellas, all showcasing our beloved Poirot. I always find shorter works ‘unsatisfying’ somehow, but these were very good, each case very different.

First, a note about narrators: I was disappointed after I picked this up to find that it was not narrated by Hugh Fraser, who's done most of the Poirot audiobooks prior to this. I was not a fan of Sir Nigel Hawthorne's Poirot accent. Then it turned out that he only narrated the first of the four stories in this collection, and Hugh Fraser narrated the other three, except he is not credited, even when he himself reads the credits at the end. The whole thing is very strange, but I was incredibly glad that Hawthorne did not narrate the whole thing. His Poirot sounded like a bad mimicry of Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast.
I was proud of myself for figuring out the first two of the four cases in this collection. Of course, I did not figure out all the details, but I did figure out the main points. The third story, which is more of a straightforward murder mystery, had me lost as usual, and the fourth story was a rather odd one where nothing is as it seems. Overall, I enjoyed this collection more than the previous Poirot short story collection, Poirot Investigates.

A solid Poirot anthology. 4 short stories, and together they're sometimes marketed as a travel anthology, sometimes sports, and sometimes as a Spring one. I don't think it neatly fits any of these themes well as each theme only has one or two matching stories with it. Honestly it's a pretty random anthology and it doesn't really fit any theme, it's been published together for decades but I don't think the editors who first put it together did a good job considering anthologies usually do have a theme. Maybe the closest theme is the 1930's?
I still love it though as it's easier to read a small collection of shorts like this than go through the entire Poirot shorts set of hundreds of stories in one book.
