Three novellas and a short story are packed together in this book of faster paced Poirot cases. As a sucker for Agatha Christie, I was definitely biased in favor of Poirot. I read an older physical copy of this book, titled "Dead Man's Mirror", with a slightly different order of stories than the more recent printing of this book that used "Murder at the Mews" as both it's title and first story instead.

Dead Man's Mirror - 4 stars
Sir Chevenix-Gore is found locked in his study, having apparently committed suicide. But something is fishy at the scene of the crime, and Poirot is on the scene to figure out the mystery. Fun story, was not able to predict the murderer, despite all the obvious clues haha.

The Incredible Theft - 3 stars
I do not think I have read this story before, but the premise of the missing/stolen government plans seems so familiar that I feel as if Christie may have used this thread in a different story before.

Murder at the Mews - 4.5 stars
This story I have definitely read before, and greatly enjoyed again the second time around. Poirot and Japp partnerships are such fun! In this story, noth Poirot and Japp quickly identify that a so-called-suicide is likely a murder case instead, and must identify the killer despite the red herrings thrown their way. Stronger work than Dead Man's Mirror, perhaps it does deserve first story placement in the newer publications.

Triangle at Rhodes - 5 stars
This one is actually short-story length instead of novella length, and packed a punch for me. As Poirot vacations in Rhodes, the tension of an inevitable death and murder grows quickly, and with masterful pacing, and Poirot is left solving a crime he instead had hoped to prevent.

Nice little stories. Compact Poirot stories, almost like a Sherlock Holmes style stories - many stories in one book.

Utk cermin mayat ceritanya paling detail diantara yg lain & sama sekali gak ketebak pelakunya siapa soalnya hintsnya tipis sekali

A nice collection of short stories. I enjoyed Dead Man’s Mirror the most.
