There is a reason why Agatha Christie is called the Queen of Crime. She writes such compelling and interesting mysteries. Each of these four stories have a different set-up with varying characters involved, clever lies and deceptions that are caught by our detective, and satisfactory conclusions.

Even if you figure out who dunnit before the big reveal, it's still fun to go along as they interview all the characters and go over details at the scene of the crime. I like picking up pieces of the puzzle through the narrative or the dialogue, and having my suspicions either confirmed or discredited by the end. I enjoy that even details that don't seem to have anything to do with the investigation wind up being important. And I really like how a lot of it is just observing humor behavior and paying attention to their words.

I'll have to try reading a little slower next time I pick up Agatha Christie. I get so caught up that I go through things too quickly and it's over too soon. But I always enjoy it whenever I pick up one of her books.
