This was a horrible book.
These authors had a chance to take a very hard and true subject; racial profiling leading to hasty shooting of black males by the police, and turned it into a big pile of nothing.
One of the main issues in the book is two best friends - one black, one white, who have somehow NEVER spoken about race in their 30 year long friendship? Then the only conversation they have about it in this 300+ page book lasts about 30sec.
Was hoping for growth and better insight by reading this book, but nothing you can’t learn online if you’re interested in deepening your knowledge on racial issues.

Very nearly  DNFed this 100 pages in because Jen was so insufferably obtuse but the chapters from Riley’s perspective saved it
