Loved the banter between the main characters.

The plot was pretty predictable to me. The beginning of the book was sort of difficult to get through as it felt like a lot of self help info dumping (I also feel like there should’ve been trigger warnings added before the story starts?) then the pace picks up again but then we get a little bit more info dumping. Cole was absolutely chaotic and his energy just made me full laugh out loud. If it wasn’t for him, I might have rated the book a little lower

the main character has a lot of body insecurities through the book but i really loved how it wasn’t her relationship that changed how she felt but her friendships with the women in her life.

I nearly rage quit this book 2/3 of the way through and subjected my book buddy to an incoherent voice to text tirade. I was on board with the book for a good half of it. I appreciated the whole self love journey the character was on and George Bailey the Great Dane was the main character in my mind. But then it’s like the character changed. The conflict was so absurd it was stupid. The main character admitted to the insanity of the circumstance and decided to go along with it as if that made it any less asinine? There was just a lot going on and zero chemistry. The dog was the best part.
