I liked most of this book but I really didn’t like the end part of the book. The giantic fight felt really unnecessary and then everything wrapping up for a happy ending at the end felt too neat. Plus the last chapter felt unnecessary. I especially hated how what’s her name decided to renew her vows with her husband who used divorce paper work to get her attention that was fucked up.

3.75 Stars Not my genre, and I tend to rate things lower if they are just not for me, but I had fun this book regardless. Nice book to get out of my fantasy comfort zone.
Fairly well written and i found it was organized.The characters are likeable and relatable. Part of it was each character POV has its own chapter. I appreciate that the chapters are dated, so there are clear time differences when it goes from present to past and back.

The characters are unrelatable , annoying, boring and at times stupid. They’re supposed to have this “ close “ relationship but non of them actually knows each other well since all of them keep lying. Ok, people don’t have to share every single thing about their lives but if these are close people like sisters then why all the lies?
Maybe if each character had their own book, it could have been more tolerable but this was too much drama in a single book. It is full of toxic relationships with people coming to conclusions to continue with relationships full of red flags to no consequences whatsoever (the guy who keeps asking for money from his girlfriend, who has sketchy friends, miraculously understands his mistakes after the girlfriend once again gives a huge amount money to him and has a change of character all of a sudden, doesn’t sound realistic to me). The girls have a huge fight revealing their true feelings and thoughts about each other but again everybody moves on like nothing happened.
One of them acts childish, one of them acts dumb and doesn’t listen to any advise, one of them acts all mysterious and as someone she’s not, and the other is just boring and ridiculous… There was not enough character development to show where they’re coming from, why there feeling like that etc… It is mentioned but I don’t think it was deep enough.
Like, one of them keeps refusing therapy, risking her marriage, due to a traumatic event but it’s just the repeat of the same delivery over and over each time it’s her perspective. It’s is not plotted in a deeper way, with different aspects of her life and her thoughts, emotions to show us why she’s refusing therapy, why is she feeling like that, etc. Rather, we get this quick overall, almost at the end “ oh it was all due to this and it affected these parts of her life” in a very rushed way.
This was for all the characters’ story lines. It just repeated itself for almost 80% of the book in a slow timeline; to people having revelations all of a sudden at the end. No major consequences to anyone… Just a waste of my time. I would have DNF but wanted to be done with it and not have a DNF book.
