I just couldn’t with this book. I read it fully on audio and as soon as I started reading it again on kindle I remembered it and remembered why I barely finished it the first time. I CANT STAND the FMC in this book. She’s arrogant and rude and just annoyed the crap out of me.
It's just porn, loosely held together with a flimsy narrative, but it's decent enough.

DNF like 20 min into the audio. Hated the main character’s inner dialogue.

This was a great quick little read. RH, insta love (for some of the characters) with a smidge of some suspense. It was great palette cleanser in-between longer books. Jo is on a camping vacation up in the mountains when she runs into some hunky men that live on the mountain. After she twists her ankle and is unable to be alone, she ends up staying in the cabin with said hunky men. You can imagine where it goes from there!

With a mouthy heroine and 4 hulking dudes alone in the woods, The Captive is exactly what you expect. I think the only think missing is the bow chicka wow wow soundtrack.
If your down for hot and heavy, you will definitely enjoy The Captive. If you like your stories more plot centric, not so much. I like the hot and heavy lile any horny individual but I like to flow more. Make it seem more natural and less low budget porn.
I will say the narrator tried to give us 4 unique voices for the male characters.
All things considered, I probably wouldn't continue the series.
