This book is very unique. Good world building and lovable characters. A bit dark, and the spice was nice but not too much and it’s a sloooooow burn. But the sexual tension was so so well done. Can’t wait for book 2!

This was very much just fine. Nothing groundbreaking- secret identities, hidden powers and betrayal very run of the mill fantasy plots. I never connected with it fully, the writing was just ok but it’s peaked my interest enough to continue with the series.

I just can’t with these characters anymore. She literally is taking Sin, the Black Art, the dude who she just found out is planning mass genocide on her family (transcendants) to where her family lives. The amount of treason spilled from their lips in front of the flanked dude is ridiculous and yet she’s still their puppet. She claims she has a backbone and is strong but nope I haven’t seen evidence of that.

The definition of a slowburn, enemies to lovers book, the story was interesting, the morally grey characters and tension between Wren and Sin was so good. This book was filled to the brim with angst - so naturally I devoured this book in like 2 days. THE ENDING HAD ME DEAD I CANT BELIEVE IT and I might just pass out waiting for the next book if I dont get my grubby hands on it soon

I don’t have much to say other than it was amazing. The plot was so good and kept me interested the whole way through, I was not expecting the end whatsoever so that was mind blowing AND the romance was chefs kiss! The chemistry was there and it didn’t feel forced and let me tell you the slow burn was a true slowwww burrnnnn and I was here for it!! A true enemies to lovers and I cannot wait for the second book! (Also the spicy scenes were also 10/10)
