The book itself was easy to follow with their magic system and the plot / political problems.
I found it a bit bland that the “enemies to lovers” was set quick paced in my opinion. The “tension” between them was not enough “tension” to call it that. They had little character development for both FMC & MMC to create that “connection” in my opinion. Overall, storyline has potential..hoping that the tension will start now.

Just bored the whole time. 

FMC is ick coded. I'm a 20 year old experienced healer who is also a badass with knives. I'll get in your face and act tough, then go cry in the bathroom. My actions have consequences? Crazy! 

I didn't care for the romance aspect.
