I admit that in the beginning of the book I was starting to be fed up with Aurora and her inner thoughts as they don't get the plot moving, but then it all changed. What an amazing read this was! Aurora and Martin are left with his niece's baby but cannot find said niece. They go looking for her, and Aurora's life gets turned upside down. This book was so well written, I had to finish it as soon as I could. I wish everyone wrote mysteries like this, all characters are plausible, everyone has faults, and at the same time they are all very human. I enjoyed this book a lot, one of my favourite reads of the year.

I do enjoy [a:Charlaine Harris|17061|Charlaine Harris|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1399317093p2/17061.jpg]'s books. They are always well written, take you on a ride, and give you twists and turns.

If you enjoy cosy crime, then try this series!

Review - I thought that Roe was a little boring in this one - Martin interested me far more, and I wish we knew more about his background. There were almost too many characters in this one, and many of them didn't really seem to have a purpose. I think it's good that there are only two more after this one. Harris's mystery series finish more in the right place than her Sookie Stackhouse novels did, as they dragged on. In this one, the storyline is very set, and you know where it's heading, even if the ultimate solution is murky.

Genre? - Crime / Mystery

Characters? - Aurora 'Roe' Teagarden / Martin Bartell / John Queensland / Craig / Regina / Rory / Margaret / Luke

Setting? - Lawrenceton & Corinth (U.S.A.)

Series? - Aurora Teagarden #6

Recommend? - Yes

Rating - 14/20
