I feel so conflicted about this book. I loved the concept, and the idea of diverse lone women becoming a sort of unit is really interesting. My problem? This book is so slow moving. I don't mean that it has a slow start and picks up, it's just a slow book. The darker parts, filled with suspense, didn't feel strong enough, and in between those moments just felt like filler. I really enjoyed the story but I couldn't deal with the writing and pace. This feels like the kind of book that a high school English teacher would love to discect over a few weeks. Unfortunately, that's just not my style.

I am a little disappointed with this book. I was really looking forward to it, but it didn't live up to my expectations. That being said, I still think it's a good read. I listened to the audiobook and the narrator does a very good job.
