beautiful and wholesome storyđź’— not quite as emotional as the house in the cerulean sea but still such an interesting idea of death and the afterlife

the ending was a little too picture perfect for me lol i don’t feel like wallace should’ve come back to life??

I’m unsure what all the hypes about. First 30 pages were interesting then there was so much dialogue & felt dragged

As Vision from the Marvel Cinematic Universe says “What is grief, if not love persevering.” “Under the Whispering Door” incapsulates that and more.

“Under the Whispering Door” feels like a hug. A hug full of joy, a hug for sadness, a hug filled with love, a hug when words fail. It is a reminder to live life to our fullest. I am still crying and this is one of those books that I wish I could read for the first time, again and again.

The characters in “Under the Whispering Door” are so beautiful, especially Wallace and his growth in death. There are hard subjects in this book: grief, suicide, loss. TJ Klune approaches them with respect and care.

I will easily reread this book until my copy falls apart and then I will buy a new copy. I will constantly recommend “Under the Whispering Door.” This book was perfect in everyway.
