I was a little shocked at this simple locked-room mystery; it didn't have the typical charm of the usual Swenson Mystery, especially when half the book is a collection of recipes, not part of the story.

Hannah was rude and judgmental half the time, then fighting for feminism and against sexism the other half; it was just too combative and self-serving to actually enjoy it.

Well, I was glad to see the main character was not in mortal danger this time around. This mystery is a close-door mystery, which could be why the book is shorter than the other books in this series.
