Rilke's letters are famous and I am so happy that this collection was my first introduction to them. Although I understand the nature of following the back-and-forth of letter exchanges, I really appreciate reading all of Rilke's letters back-to-back. You can really get a sense of who Rilke is as a person by reading his correspondence. This book sent me down the Rilke rabbit hole and I am happy for it!

Not really sure if I was reading the same book as the 42% of people who found this book to be fast-paced... personally my version was ~40 pages (excluding notes/commentary at the end), but somehow it just dragged on to feel more like 400 pages T-T

Good short read, I would definitely take my time reading in-between the lines to grasp the greater message that he is trying to portray!
