This is honestly one of the funniest books I’ve ever read - I laughed so fucking hard so many times. Not only that but it was such a fun and interesting read. I loved all the characters and how they interacted with one another and despite being robot they were so human. I hadn’t read anything by T.J Klune before but I am so glad I did so thank you mom for randomly selecting this book. And I’m so ready to go pick up more by this author. I mean seriously this book was gorgeous it sweet and funny and of course I cried. Every interaction between Rambo and Nurse Ratched was hilarious. And Victor and Hap were so cute together - I wish we had more time with these characters especially after they finally got together and Gio was so sweet what a cute old man. Basically I love this book absolutely adored it!!
Also the juxtaposition of man and robot and how some robots act so human and Victor seems so robotic sometimes is wonderful. The contradiction of being a human and everything in this book is just good!

I really enjoyed this book. I liked that it had a familiar storyline yet was completely unique in it's own way. It was easy to picture the adventure given the author's writing.

This was my first Klune novel. I would normally never contemplate this genre but after reading the synopsis for our book club I decided to give it a go.
I greatly enjoy Klune’s writing style. I really felt I could strongly imagine the characters and settings this saga presented. The component of the main character being asexual confused me. I didn’t necessarily see how it related to the plot at all.
Regardless, this was a really great story and I will definitely be reading more Klune in the future.

“sometimes, it’s the smallest things that can change everything when you least expect it.”
tldr summary: Christopher Robin and Winnie the Pooh company, as robots, learn human emotions and the heaviness of having a heart.
A very wholesome read as our ragtag band of adventurers learn and experience the spectrum of human emotions - grief, happiness, love, anger, hope, belonging. The first 20-25% of the book was really slow but the other reviews had warned me, and I’m glad I stuck it out. The last part of the book especially was so beautiful and well-written!!
