This book started and ended with very interesting points that get bogged down in the middle. But it was a very good read for a quick reality check for any woman.

As apparently many people do, I went into this book thinking it would be funny book about the over confident male ego. Well, I was ill-informed on that one. It is serious set of essays about the past present and future importance of feminism in the world as we go forward. A lot of these essays, unfortunately, are incredibly hard to read. YOU can't help come away from reading this book without asking "What the hell is wrong with the world? Can't we all treat each other with respect, dignity and understanding?" And then, of course, we are slapped in the face with the latest Trump video. I guess not. It makes you believe that this book should be required reading for everyone!

I liked this more once I got over how very 2012 it is. I liked the later essays more than the earlier ones. Maybe it doesn’t feel overly interesting now because a lot of her ideas have become commonplace. Anyway, eh.
