The writing and pace of this novel were very good, the mystery of the disappearances were kept up with good tension, and a steady trickle of information.
Content wise, this wasn’t for me, and that’s affected my rating. I’m not sure how I ended up with this one, but oh well. I can’t rate it higher because it feels like it’s a crime/murder novel with no real point to it except to torture the characters and leave the reader disturbed and sad. The bizarre monologue about women’s rights during labor, while spot on, did not fit the novel, neither did the gross obstetrics visit. Again, harm & damage for shock value. Not my cup of tea.

Can't rave about this enough. Loved the multiple POVs mixed with flashbacks slowly entertwining the storyline. DID NOT see the big twist coming. Not at all. Sooooo satisfying!

Didn't know I was supposed to be guessing who did it until more than halfway through. All the twists and turns I didn't know who to pin it on! It wasn't a bad read I just wasn't sure what to expect. This is my first read by this author.

Overall, I liked the premise and plot. I was really into the last 150 pages, and really confused for the prior 200. Some of the POVs and story lines I thought were a bit clunky and just made a bit of a mess. All this to say I did binge this book and the plot twists were intense! I just wish it was a little cleaner structurally.

Wow. This book was so good! I spent the whole thing trying to figure out and never did! I loved all the characters. They were so well fleshed out and created. It was just so well done! It was my first book by this author and I can call it now. I will be reading all of her catalog! It's not often a thriller/suspense book makes me cry, but that happened here. All the stars!!
