DNF. just felt like a drag to read. why create more problems for these two when they were already so happy after the first book. felt like the author was forcing conflict when it didn't fit into the storyline.

My Kind of Forever is my kind of book. Except for one thing, it is the final book. I have been deep into the Beaumont series since the beginning. It has been a rollercoaster ride with their ex-manager at the controls. When you think everything is going smoothly someone or something comes along to cause problems. Liam is struggling. He needs LA for the band and success. He needs the town of Beaumont for family and stability. The band goes to LA to help a friend, leaving Josie and her insecurities at home. If you like books with second chance romances this book and series is for you. If you like having someone to be angry with, this book is definitely for you. In fact there is more than one person I got angry or frustrated with. I wanted to reach within the pages and slap someone on more than one occasion. What made this book fantastic is that there wasn't just one happy ending but multiples. The author had a wonderful way of bringing the past to light. She gave many of the characters a wonderful journey to eternal love. I am going to miss the characters and know that I will revisit them again in the future. I hope that the author finds it within her heart to write about the second generation.

01/17/20 This book is just as good the third or is it the fourth time around. AMAZING!!!!

Reading My Kind of Forever, and then having to formulate my thoughts into a review has got to be one of the hardest things I've had to do. This series has just blew me away with each installment, and while I wanted to dive right in, devour the story and be finished in record time, I made this one last. I really did not want this book, or this series to come to an end.

As I write this review it is so hard to keep it spoiler free and I hope, I do not only the book, but the author, Heidi McLaughlin, justice with it, so apologies for vagueness.

What a great first paragraph. I was giddy with excitement reading it, but then as the chapter progressed something was thrown into the mix to make me go back and read it all again, just to make sure I hadn't missed out on an important bit due to my excitement. As the story progresses we definitely see Noah in a different light, he's older and not so happy with parental displays of affection, for him and for each other. This new change is something he is not happy about, and feels like this is a change for Liam and Josie to have a chance at something Noah didn't have.

4225 West are failing, they are losing sales, popularity, and money. They have to go back to LA to not only help and old friend out, but also get themselves back in the spotlight, but this only brings up bad memories for Josie, of Liam leaving her and not coming back. This was emotional to read, I know the history of this break up, who was at fault, and what happened. But with everything going on Josie is unable to go with Liam, she is stuck at home due to other commitments and is finding it hard to deal with the publicity surround Liam and an upcoming book. But it also gives Josie the chance to step back and think about her relationship with Liam, and what it could have been like if he had stayed with her.

He gave me the opportunity to grow up and find the me I needed to be without him guiding our path. It just sucks how it all happened.

Just when we thought Sam was out the picture, she back with a vengeance, this time in a tell all book, taken from her diary, that is being published by a journalist. It holds every secret, every singe thing that went on between Sam and Liam, shit is about to hit the fan, and it won't be pretty at all. I really want the slap the journalist that thought ti would be a good idea to publish this book. To add to the mixture, Mr Moreno is back, determined he is going to make some money off the band, or off the members individually. Is Liam strong enough to fight a war from both sides whilst keeping the band together and his wife happy.

Liam and Josie have already had a lot to deal with, and they do not need the past flung in thier face. With Liam in LA helping out an old friend, it's Josie who see's the book first, and all her old fears and hurt comes back to haunt her. To make matters worse, when she goes to confront Liam about it, she is met with his past, and his present, all presented neatly on stage for her.

One thing I love about My Kind of Forever were the alternate chapters that give Liam a glimpse into his life if he has of stayed with Josie when she was pregnant with Noah. He gets to see what his career, his life, and his future would have looked like, and it's not exactly a bed of roses. But this also makes him truly grateful for what he has and the decisions he made, it also helps them compromise on the future of 4225 West, and the future of thier family.

Final Verdict
What a sad, but amazing end to this series. I am sad to see this series end, but My Kind of Forever ensures it goes out with a bang. You don't want to miss this finale.

LOVED LOVED LOVED!

You know those kind of books that you just KNOW are going to be good? Before you even start it? Before you even finish it? This is one of those books.

I've been Heidi's BIGGEST fan since the first book in The Beaumont Series, FOREVER MY GIRL. I remember when I first set my eyes of the pages of that book. While I gave it a 3.75 stars, I knew that I had made a connection with Heidi's storytelling. Her ability to grab the reader and make them care about her characters. It's a talent that not many authors can master. But Heidi did it, because that 3.75 is what compelled me to keep reading the series.

And THAT was when I found my all time favorite contemporary romance... in book two, MY UNEXPECTED FOREVER. The perfection that was the romance, the character development, the emotional turmoil, everything was simply amazing. And I remember being book drunk on that read for WEEKS!

Fast forward to THIS book -- MY KIND OF FOREVER. I am reintroduced to the characters that hooked me. To Liam and Josie. The Harrison. To Jimmy. To everyone! And it was AMAZING.

I won't go into details of this book because it's not meant to be read before the others, especially not before book one, which is the first part of Liam and Josie's story. But what I WILL say is... it was everything I was expecting in the final installment of one of my favorite series. Heidi did it well. The drama, the romance, the humor -- it was all there. The intense love that I have for these characters? That came back in full force.

I couldn't stop smiling as I read through the pages. I was so glad to be with my friends again. In the lovely Beaumont world.

When it comes to reviewing books, I try to be as honest and as open as possible. I will always say when I don't enjoy something. Or when I find that my tastes are incompatible with a story. So I can say with 100% honesty and integrity that this is book that I would recommend to anyone -- who is a lover of romance. Of musicians in love. Of bad boys. Of just well written contemporary love stories.

It was an all around beautiful experience for me. And I would gladly pass on the opportunity for that same experience to anyone who's willing to listen and read.

Go get this book!
(And the rest of the series, if you haven't read it)

What a great way to end the series. It was very good. I'm so sad that it's over. I thought the series as a whole was wonderful and would highly recommend

Loved this whole series of books. Will miss the characters, and look forward to more in the future hopefully. Until then I look forward to the fall and the movie Forever my Girl.

This is more of a 3.5 star rating.
Josie is a very frustrating character. I really liked her in Forever My Girl, but started to get frustrated with her as a secondary character and with this latest insight into the lives and loves of 4225 West and group, I am beginning to wonder if the first book was a fluke.
In the first book and Liam's origin story, Josie was confident and funny. Now, she is whiny and petulant.
She knows better than anyone how things can be twisted she told Katelyn not to believe everything she sees when she was falling for Harrison. So I have to wonder why Josie is so quick to believe a book written without Liam's knowledge or permission, based on diaries of an unstable obsessed woman and uncorroborated interviews. From a secret child that isn't his to Sam watching Josie while pregnant, the book is apparently a page Turner that has Josie completely swindled and wretching in the toilet.

Liam was a bit disappointing in this book also. He got too easily swept up in the LA life to do some damage control and explain things to Josie before she found out about them. He definitely seemed to want to have his cake and eat it too in this book.

It was good that they really had it out, it seemed to be a catharsis they needed.
Josie's pregnancy was predictable once she found out the adoption wasn't going through.
Although Nick didn't feature prominently in this book much, I still don't like him as a character and while I get from Noah's side why he'd want to have Nick in his life, I can empathise with Liam.

Liam's mother being part of this book was nice. It was good to read her having a relationship with Noah and being there for Josie. I'm very glad she left her controlling husband. No one deserves to be left more than Sterling Westbury.

As always, it is great to be in Beaumont with this cast of characters and I look forward to more.

I always get a little giddy when my favorite authors write more books in my favorite series'. I think the series could have ended with Finding My Way, but I'm glad we got another glimpse into the lives of some of my favorite characters of all time. This is not a standalone!
Liam, Harrison and Jimmy miss making music and they go back to LA to help the owner of the club that gave Liam his shot. Liam leaves Josie and Noah and even though they understand, it's hard being without him. Josie struggles with jealousy and not believing what she reads or sees. Liam is trying to find the happy medium between being Liam Page and Liam Westbury. He loves making music and touring, but he refuses to lose his family again. The guys have a big decision to make. Stay in Beaumont with their families or go back to LA and make music. Will Liam lose his band because he chooses his wife and son? Can Josie compromise and learn to live with the rumors? Overall, the book is beautifully written as all Heidi's books are, and I loved seeing everyone again. Especially Harrison :). I was more annoyed and angry at Liam and Josie, but glad that the fans got what they've been asking for. More Beaumont.

"You're my life, Jojo. You're the only girl I've ever loved.

He's standing there while Harrison and Jimmy filter around him, letting me drink him in, allowing me to burn him into my memory for later.
"God, your husband is hot."
"I know."
