Kitty + Levin 4 ever, haha! I started this book with no expectations except that it was long. I liked and related to Levin’s inner dialogue about life and faith and also Dolly’s thoughts about life as a mother, wife and woman. I did not like Anna, but maybe you’re not supposed to. I also enjoyed the contrast of everyday life and circumstances that are universal experiences along side the more unique life experiences of the nobility of the time. All around worth the time and I liked the ending.

the first quarter of the book is enjoyable!! i was really into the plot and into the characters. but at some point, Tolstoy starts his favourite thing: talk about politics and religion and it’s super tiring and boring. also everything was easy to solve but omg people can’t talk to each other with honesty
