I feel like I'm becoming a broken record when it comes to this series. Still the same...love the characters, storyline and town while the author's habit of giving useless details still drives me crazy. There is even one point that we are told about what Carly has done for up and coming artists almost word for word the same as we were told about 50 pages previous. So frustrating.
This was a book of missed opportunities in my mind. Some things that were brought up may come up again in other books, but I felt the ball was dropped. The mystery man in the painting and picture...will we hear about this again? I hope so. This may tie into another storyline somehow. But I can't see Ford's backstory coming up again and it was another missed opportunity. So much could have been said there. Instead we learned the minutia of Carly's business that had no real bearing on anything. As long as we know she had competent people running her galleries, what difference does any of the other stuff make?
Carly's story also bothered me a bit. I really loved her in Ellie's story, but somehow she lost her spark in this one. She had so much energy and opinions on everything. Suddenly she's so serious. I know she had stuff going on, but really.
Again, still loved the storyline and I will continue. But I'm down to skimming a LOT in these books because of all of the useless info included.
