A great read for those within the LGBTQIA+ community and allies alike to have a place to start to learn more about queer identities. The illustrations and characters are whimsical and fun and it would be cool to see the authors write companion novels going more in depth on concepts covered here in the future.

The illustrations in this were so friggen adorable, I loved the mushrooms, snails and little sprout things; it is actually why I picked this up from the library.

This book covers a pretty broad range of stuff, it wasn’t perfect by any means and it is fairly surface level so I definitely wouldn’t use this as a main source if you are newer to the community and want to get the basic lay out but if you are able to recognize that there is a lot of nuance missed and this is 3 years old then it is cute and short.

I’m glad I got it through the library though because I don’t think I would read it again. I do want the cover as a print though

This is a collection of smaller guides for some LGBTQ+ labels. Explained by a snail (?) and accompanied by psychedelic illustrations, it gives a summary for terms like ‘queer’ or ‘gender expression’, the necessity of this labels, and the nuances within them.

I don’t think this would be useful for someone already acquainted with this labels but probably good enough for beginners.

Another resource that would be great in more languages to be more accesible

I think the french translation has some problems. But that’s a good book for anyone who need some answers about themselves or about someone close to them who is part of the lgbtq community
