I don't know how to feel about this Book
I think my mistake was watching the movie before reading the book

I don't know if I will proceed with this series - even though I haven't seen the rest of the movies.

My reasoning for reading the book was to read the series because I lived the first movie but I am not sure I want to dive into this world of control and narcissism and emotions

Honestly, it was a waste of a tree. It is a story about a toxic relationship that is poorly written. It's the same concept every chapter. If young girls were to read it, they'd think this time of behavior was normal in relationships, and it's just not. A book of lust,  not at all romance.

I didn’t enjoy the characters and there wasn’t much of a plot. Don’t really enjoy the toxic bad boy who doesn’t treat you right. Maybe a little triggering for some people. The boyfriend Noah has a weird relationship with the mother.

This book is the trainwreck you can’t look away from. Hot garbage. Toxic toxic toxic abusive and toxic. The writing feels like Twilight/Mormon propaganda with some wet dreams sprinkled throughout. Hardin wrote the book on gaslighting.

and yet I ate it up, left zero crumbs, and am requesting the next book on libby. I AM BUT A WOMAN and this book was honestly fucking hilarious.

Its prose is as compelling as a wet sock and its characters make about as much sense as an LSD-induced hallucination. Should you ever find yourself craving an offensively bland yet somehow outstandingly incompetent romance story, this book is one for your shelf.
