Another part of this series. This part was also kind of slow-paced, and it didn't feel like too much happened, but what a cliffhanger! I'm kind of sad to read the next part knowing the title (and also having seen the movie) but I'll likely get started soon. Although this part and the last have been slower, it's impressive that they've been able to keep me gripped into the storyline the way they have. I recommend.

This book is the first where it starts off as a reflection of Paul now a resident at Georgia Pines. It is a retirement community but Paul often refers to it as a prison, one of the "guards" even reminds him of Percy Wetmore. This takes you into Paul's curousity about John Coffey and a few other events at the prison which is beginning to make Paul think about transferring to the Boys Correctional Faciliy. We get a few more pieces to make this muddy water a bit more clear.

I enjoyed Book 1 and Book2... but book 3! OMG! I already know the story from the mini series. I can feel what is going to happen and King does a lot of blant foreshadowing without the normal disguise. He comes out and says it in these books, but it's still shocking when it happens!
