3.5 stars by the end, but I almost didn't make it past the middle (2.5 stars).

15 years on and Bridget still hasn't changed much, though her new Twitter compulsion has joined weight and text/email/call agonizing. She's just as disorganized, just as flustered, has the same friends - and a few new ones - and her language hasn't improved much either. And therein lies the problem for me: she hasn't changed, despite marriage, widowhood and raising two children on her own.  She's just tweeting/texting her toyboy rather than emailing Daniel.

(Also, did the US publishers "fix" things, or is Bridget really weighing herself in pounds now?)

The first half or so was more annoying than funny, but it really picked up once I got into the last third, and was almost as good as the first by the end (although a little more bizarre).
