Another blue alien smut book 🤣 The heroine in this one was a bit more spunky and defensive, which I liked. A few corny moments but otherwise it was pretty good!

I’m having a lot of fun with this series so far. These are definitely “fated mates” stories and I give props to the author for being able to write the chemistry so well when one character (the alien who already has a khui which directs him to his mate) is instantly infatuated with the other character (the human who is scared, confused, and not sure what is even going on). Not only is the chemistry there, but it grows as the story progresses.

Liz is a very strong-minded character. It’s not even that she would object to being paired with Raahosh, it’s that she isn’t being given a choice. She often laments her lack of control over anything in the situation she is in, along with the other humans who were deserted on this planet of ice and snow. Raahosh knows he’s not the pick of the litter so when he resonates for Liz he takes drastic measures. Afraid his people won’t allow him to have the mate his khui is resonating for if she doesn’t reciprocate his feelings, he decides to kidnap her and hold her until she realizes they belong together. Being as they are fated mates, this works out in one way. It also backfires drastically when they go back to join the others in his clan.

Although this is a story of abduction in the beginning, there were still a lot of light moments. The misunderstandings with the language barrier, Raahosh not understanding how able Liz is and Liz not understanding the mixed messages she is sending. All a joy to read.
