In depth interviews with working class families in the 50/60’s and how grammar school education impacts social mobility. Super interesting read to reflect upon the educational changes and different attitudes towards class, education, policies etc. Interesting that there was no reflections on race and hardly any about gender… there was definitely some sexist undertones in here too, which I guess is expected from this time. Would recommend for sure, it’s quite a time capsule!
