I really enjoyed this story, alot more than I thought I would. I thought the romance was good and felt very realist. I thought the way Ari was dealing with life and his emotions was very realistic to how things can feel after college

Was a bit slower in the beginning, but picked up speed towards the end. The artwork was BEAUTIFUL, and was a lot better than the dialogue / character development.

3.5 I'd say. I liked the drawings and the theme, although in my opinion the characters are not sufficiently developed. Anyway, a pleasant and cute read!

This was such a cute summer romance! It put a smile on my face and is well worth checking out.

The novel revolves around a summer romance between Ari and Hector as they work in Ari’s father’s bakery. There is some slight drama but the overarching tone is gentle. Given the length of the novel - there isn’t much exploration of the character but that is fine. The artwork here - in the blue and white - really carried this for me. There were a few character moments with our main couple and Ari’s parents which did make me sniffle just a little - just not too much to bring down the mood.

I enjoyed my time with this novel - recommended for everyone looking for something that evokes the summer and the optimism of young love.

I was really looking forward to reading this. I was super excited when I finally found it in my local library, but as I started reading my hopes steadily dropped.
Hot take: Oh my god Ari is insufferable. Like I can understand not wanting to be shackled to the family business, but I did not give a single rip about his relationship with Hector, and his constant whining and complete lack of care for anyone other than himself grated on my nerves.
Hector was a delight, and waaaaaay too good for Ari.
The art was beautiful though
