I read that Bram Stoker was in a sexless marriage and was a closeted homosexual and suddenly this book makes much more sense

Couldn't get stuck in. To read a classic book I need to set a large chunk of time dedicated to reading. I didnt have the time to do this but I will be continuing it at some point!

Listen I was reading through this with Dracula daily and then I got behind and now I have no idea where I was and instead I'm going to read my favorite edition of this book, which is the new annotated one from 2008
The end

There are moments of great writing and insight into the great 19th Century battle of science Vs faith, but for me at least I found it getting lost amongst a lot of the other contents of the book that just dragged.

“How blessed are some people, whose lives have no fears, no dreads; to whom sleep is a blessing that comes nightly, and brings nothing but sweet dreams.”

If there is one classic you should read, let it be Dracula.
