Honestly, I found his book to be more boring than the first. I feel like the world building needed more work because half the time I had no clue how to picture the locations. I also felt like there were moments that should’ve been included that weren’t. Like how did people react to the heir lines being merged and are the hiaj and rishan starting to get along. I just felt there was more to be desired. That’s not to say I didn’t like the story, I just think it’s not my favorite.

Better than part 1. The characters are infuriating and interesting, I hated and rooted for them.
Great storytelling.

This book broke my heart and put it back together again. I’ve not felt so anxious to finish a book in such a long time. It was perfect
Perhaps the rating is a little unfair because the book is well written, but...
I feel like I'm reading the same book over and over at this point. I needed audiobook to help me get through it. I had to remind myself that the characters are not in fact Feyre and Rhysand. I would probably enjoy it more of I was reading less, if you know what I mean. Give me something new. Stop writing mash-ups of all the other popular romantasy novels.

I don't think I can really give this book an objective rating because I've read “Daughter if no worlds + children of fallen Gods” by Carissa Broatbent before and I have a direct comparison - in my opinion, this is the best series I've ever read (and I still have one more book to go)
The Ashes & the Star- Cursed King...
The book was good, but nothing more. I didn't have the urge to keep reading, I didn't feel enough and I don't think I'll have the plot in my head for long, so I give it 3.5 stars
I liked:
- Writing style (love C.B.)
- both main characters and their development (also their relationship)
- many suspenseful moments
- the ending
There's not really anything I didn't like, but there's just not enough that I liked - maybe it was too long.
