I can appreciate that this book was way ahead of its time. I can also appreciate that perhaps it wasn’t meant for 28 year old me.

It’s an okay read, I can see why a lot of people enjoy it. I connected with Meg and how she feels like an outsider. Pretty typical good vs evil story with some strong religious themes. Love wins. However, sort of anticlimactic. There’s build up and then it fell flat for me.

This was an interesting book, originally I was really really enjoying it with only a few issues. But as I continued to listen to it I just could not get into like I was. I honestly still have no real idea of what happened through the course of this book or why. The characters really started to bug me and the ending wrapped up all to quickly. The biggest flaw I saw though was the characters. The characters encompass a variety of age groups, but they all seemed to be the same age, and when our youngest is 5 and our oldest is a 14 year old senior in high school it shows some issues. I know Charles Wallace was suppose to seem older than he is, he's 5, he was almost an unbelievable older, it also seemed like it was never properly explained.
Maybe its just me and I should have read this many years ago, but I just wasn't a fan. I most likely will not be continuing on with the series.

This is an enjoyable book, as long as you don't think about it too much.

This book is a total mind f*ck. I read it back when I was 12 and it blew my mind then.
