This book was good in premise but lacked execution. Everything was superficial and lacked depth. I know “everything” is a broad base word but in this case it’s true.

First ... her parents stole her college money and the female lead was like ... UGH....oh woes me, whatever shall I do??

Secondly, as I stated the characters have no depth.

Then, the drama is TOLD to you so much that you don’t experience the emotions with the character. Heck the H is one dimensional. He’s a professor who had a troubled (putting it mildly) childhood that prevents him from having solid sexual relationships but there is not enough depth to his character, no bonding.

On a positive note, the female lead handles the males problems with grace and guidance. Which is a redeemable quality to this book.

It took me so long to get through this, mostly because I got caught up in reading other books that took my attention and by the time I came back to this one I wasn’t all that interested unfortunately.

I can see why so many people love this series, and I definitely want to continue on with it even though it had some faults for me.

I loved the whole club aspect of the book and was the main reason why I even wanted to read it in the first place. The only thing, besides my big time jump from reading it, was I didn’t really enjoy how possessive Cal was, and believe me I do enjoy a possessive hero, sometimes. But he just seemed...a bit much for me and it wasn’t really romantic rather than annoying.

loved this so much! the plot was so good and kept me hooked the characters were fantastic i loved oakley she a was such a sweetheart and i loved the character development callum had it was so nice to see that. the smut was great and soooo hot but i just loved how plot driven this book was and i was able to emotionally connect with the book. anyways thought this was a great quick read.

3.5! This book was HOT. The audio book was HOT. I just didn’t connect with the characters as much as I would have liked, the drama between them was a little much at time, but their story was very sweet & hit me right in the feels. I can’t wait to get to the other books by this author!

Going into this book I was super excited. The synopsis sounded really good and even the beginning of the story was a page turner for me. Then the book was about half way done and I lost interest. I really liked Oaklyn’s character, a 19 year old college student, she was determined and wanted to live a good life by still trying to safe money for school because she didn’t have the money. I was not really a fan of Callum, and when it came to Oaklyn and his chemistry, I was just not feeling. I did enjoy the fact that Callum’s past was a big part of his present, that always makes a nice structure for the storylines.
