I think it was the audiobook that bothered me with this one. Specifically, the male narrator. He used his own voice for the MMC, but the way he varied it for side characters was really bad. He was distracting.
I also never liked the MMC, which is rare. He came across as way too soft and victimized. Again, I wonder if it was the narration.
I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt with 3 stars, but I would recommend reading this one with your eyeballs!

Student and professor romances I’m not sure why I like these maybe it’s because it’s forbidden love. Such a good read. This is my first novel to read by this author. I’ll be reading more of her work.
i’m genuinely impressed with this one, i wasn’t expecting to like it so much. i loved the dark ish theme that played part of the romance and i really liked Cal. i did not like how jealous he got annnnd how hot and cold he was at the start but it does make sense once everything is revealed
fast-paced

I read this after seeing someone sharing the plot on tiktok. The plot seemed interesting and had a lot of potential.
A girl who works at a voyeurism bar. She doesn’t get to see the people who watch her until one day her teacher recognizes her as one of the girl from the bar.
This book could have been good, but i had to take off one star for every time i told myself “nah that is not right”.
First of all, the shaming of sex worker. The girl literally masturbate and give oral sex in front of people. But asks her teacher if he sees her as a whore. Because she doesn’t want to be one…
At some point in the book he even says “ I am reducing her to a prostitute”. There was nooo need for this shaming of the sex industry, especially when the main character is a part of it too.
The second thing that was very bothersome was the possessiveness and jealousy of Callum (the teacher). Goddamit, he went to that voyeur bar, he knew she worked there. But the moment their relationship was starting to be a little more serious, suddenly she should not work there anymore? He started drinking and was a literal dick to her. Ive seen worse from book boyfriends but that was a big turn off for me.
Finally, the age gap, i do not understand why authors love to have teenagers (19) date men that are so much older. First of all, Callum had so much trauma, honestly i think i would have cried if a 29 years old man, in the prime of my teens would have come to me for help.
Otherwise, the epilogue was nice.
