Not bad but not thrilling. There was basically no character progression unless you include regression and then progression back to the original starting point.

4 // This was a very short, but nonetheless enjoyable read!! I adored the perspective of our narrator. It was engaging and never dragged even as the plot (if you could even argue there really being one) centered solely on the monotonous work of a convenience store woman. I also thoroughly enjoyed the writing style of this. I found that it really captured the *vibes* of our main character perfectly and fit the story very well. I would definitely recommend this!

3.5 stars. i found this book to be oddly wholesome, a celebration of people who are perceived as odd and a defiant rally cry to never conform for the sake of society. i also worked at a drug store for 7 years so this was strangely relatable.
