I liked this, but I didn't love it. I wanted to love it - I picked it out on Netgalley because I follow cycling and I like a good romance but it just didn't fulfill all it's promise for me. I wasn't quite sure that Bryony's character was developed enough for me to really identify with her - you didn't get enough about her background until quite late on and I found her control freakery difficult to understand without that. Jackson was also a bit of an arrogant old so and so - and quite hard to like for his high handed treatment of Bryony in places.
However, it was steamy, it was sexy and the sex was well written - I didn't get any of those toe-curly stomach turning moments with it.
I can see it's got loads of excellent reviews - so it may just be me - I can see that this would make a good beach read for the summer holidays. I'll keep an eye out for more from Jane Linfoot - but I won't be running out to buy more.
