Did not enjoy this book. Leo was an ass. He was completely self serving when he took her virginity and then treated her like shit. Then comes back when his wife conveniently dies. His “winning her back” was really annoying the shit out of her and then she basically just throws caution to the wind and is like,” I'm all in”. The resolution was icky cheesy.

I would call this a short story or novella and it was very entertaining for its length. And full of smut which was expected. I would give it 3 1/2 if we could do so on this app.

Well, the story had little to no connection with the beloved fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. However, It was a fun read - especially as setting of 17th century France isn't your usual period portrayed in historical romances.
