The best collection of stories that I have ever read, and have completely changed how I view fiction. So unique and refreshing, but so needed, especially in the restrictive scene of Australian literature. Clarke is unafraid, both in the conversations she challenges and her methods of storytelling, and it's is so brilliant to read. I'm always hesitant approaching cultural stories, as they are usually unrelatable and somehow isolate the experience of the minorities even further. This wasn't that at all. I didn't always relate to the circumstances of the characters, but it didn't matter because the characters were honest and not tragic for the sake of tragedy, and their humanity is something we can all relate to.

Beautifully written thought provoking collection of stories. Even though there were a couple of things that werent perfect overall this collection was undeniably enjoyable to read.
