This was so cute!!!! I 100% would not have come across this if it weren’t for the challenge prompt for a novella this month. I don’t know if I have ever read a novella before (I didn’t even know where to begin when looking for one!) but this was very enjoyable!!! I think that novellas maybe aren’t for me because while the taste of the characters and the story was so lovely, I wanted more!!! I wanted more of the adventures and to get details on the way their relationship developed. Overall, very lovely and cute!!

This book was really entertaining. Even though it was a work of fiction, it had some pretty good relationship advice for those who fear rejection or loss. It speaks to the bravery of falling in love.

Just because this has been done well before doesn't mean this one isn't also well done.

The opening setup was more interesting than most.

Perhaps the author went on a bot long—especially for a novella–about how they shied from love. Perhaps this was a long short story and someone wanted to stretch it.

Predictable throughout, but entertaining. FLuff, but GOOD fluff.

And, for readers who have actually experienced trust issues, this may be the one that stands out from the pack.

Once more upon a time is the story of Ambrose and Imelda and their adventures after being kicked out of their kingdom a year after a witch took their love away. When I first heard about this book, I was intrigued with the fairytale aspect of it all and thought it would be a quick read, but unfortunately this book fell flat for me. This book didn't hooked me until the last 20 pages and I never wanted to pick it up. I liked the writing, but I didn't like any of the characters. I think I expected more development from them than what this book gave. This book reads like a quick fairytale, It's just wasn't for me.

Thank you Netgalley, for a copy of this book!
