- The second volume of A Man and His Cat is just as heartwarming as the first one 🥺 We get more stories of Fukumaru and Kanda's daily life, which is always a treat as the love they have for each other never fails to melt my heart! It was interesting to see a bit more of Kanda's childhood as well: we get glimpses of his mother and how lonely he used to be. For the longest time, he kept his distance from any pets, but of course, Fukumaru came along to change his mind!
- However, this volume also touches upon the grief Kanda feels at the loss of his wife. We finally see a bit more of her and how much she loves cats which makes Kanda only adopting one after she passed all the more heartbreaking. Even Fukumaru carries some grief of being separated from his mother and being left behin so many times at the pet store!
