If you didn’t tear up at least once in this volume of A Man & His Cat, you’re lying. The raw grief Kanda struggles with feels real. You really can see in his face and in the dialogue how hard it is for him to live without his wife. Fukumaru provides him comfort and support, but it still is hard to read about such a kind man going through the loss of a life partner. I love this series so much and this is another beautiful edition to the story.

Still a sweet wholesome story, with more depth added to main characters this round. I can't help but feel I would like this in it's original form of a weekly comic.
Continues to be effortlessly heartwarming while exploring the grief that comes with the loss of a loved one.

This was also a super cute episode! I really enjoy Kanda’s sudden love for cat-themed items.
Slowly but surely we are allowed more glimpses into Kanda’s history, with some surprisingly dark moments sprinkled in. I’m also intrigued to learn more about his coworkers.
I honestly enjoyed this edition even more than the first book!
