This is overall a very good read. It had similar issues to that of A Court of Thorns and Roses, in the sense that the first half was not as good as the second half. I think it's all very necessary though, it just felt like it was dragging at the start. It all comes together to a very satisfying end, which makes the slower periods worth it. You're not going to like the main characters sometimes, and that can be frustrating, but it's intentional and important for the plot and the lessons learned.
Graphic: Sexism, Blood, Grief, Death of parent

It was way too long, and the ending seemed rushed and anti-climactic.
SOBBING ONCE AGAIN! if you don’t like this book just say you don’t like complex female characters! I understand why people don’t like Nesta but that could NEVER be me! loved seeing Nesta’s character development but still wish there were some chapters with Feyre or Rhys’s POV I know I have more thoughts but this is it for now
Hard read until 2nd half
This book is the longest one in the series, and boy, it is hard to continue reading it until the second half. The first half is heavy, depressing, and a lot of character development and introduction to new ones. But I want to say it was worth it because the second half is so jucy, so much unexpected happened.

This book was incredible. If comparing to SJM’s other series it’s the Heir of Fire of the ACOTAR series. She writes such strong, dynamic women who GO THROUGH IT. I loved this book. So much. Might be my favorite SJM book. SJM is a girls girl and I will not be taking questions at this time.
This was a bit longer than it needed to be, but I still enjoyed it. Nesta was well flushed out as a character, even if the characterization was a bit inconsistent at times.

i cannot put into proper words what this book made me feel. a beautiful examination of mental health and sisterhood and the true meaning of what it means to love, both someone else and yourself. nesta’s journey is absolutely beautiful, and her point of view is heartwrenching and painfully relatable. watching her triumph over not only physical challenges, but her own mind and heart, was incredibly emotional and rewarding.
