Thank you Flatiron books and Edelweiss+ for early access to this book! I am a huge 'sporror' (spore horror) fan, and will read pretty much anything with a mushroom on the cover.

M.L. Rio made a great addition to the genre with 'Graveyard Shift' with a surprising new spin. I started the novella and could not put it down. I loved how each character was so unique. Each of the five main characters were so different from each other, not all so great. But it's a sign of a good writer that each character has their own point of view, and behaves true to themselves.

My only issue is that I wanted to end so soon! A must read for horror fans!

Really well written and a page turner for sure, but ultimately unsatisfying because of how short it is. It’s a testament to Rio that I want so much more from this, while simultaneously being disappointed in the lack of resolution.

Genuinely a waste of my time. What was the point?

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this novella. It felt like an episode of Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities. But the resolution left me a bit wanting. Overall still a fun read, especially over the course of a few sleepless jet lagged nights.

Very odd and I can't say I liked it. I've never really been a novella girlie, but I just wanted so much more than this.
