This was a nice break in between the self help-ish books I'm reading right now.
I finished this much, much, quicker than I intended to! I meant to start reading it as a way to stop crying after a work meeting but oh I didn't want to stop! It helped that the main character, Jane, was also a teacher and she so accurately described what teaching younger children is.
I really loved this. It told the story of Jane's life between the years 2002-2019. I think what struck me first was that Jane wasn't willing to take from people more than she could give. She was really good at managing her expectations of others- something I could definitely learn to do a bit more.
This was sweet and endearing, and would make a really good beach read.
