I hadn’t heard much about this book, so I went into it rather blind. A very sweet small town tale (where the MCs man has slept with almost every single woman in the small town) with some found family elements that really makes you appreciate the small bits of happiness in your life that you might otherwise miss out on. I felt every moment of frustration at Aggie, the general huh? at Gary and hopefulness for Jimmy.

Also now I want Kilwins.

Oh, this book was so beautifully written. It was so mesmerizing and capturing, and painted the beauty and struggles of small town life and relationships. So, so, so well done.

This book was so well written, it sucks that the author chose to use the lovely voice to tell some...boring, weirdly ableist, weirdly negative story. I don't know, it made me concerned that people really see the world this way? Also, the book gets so much love for being funny and it had maybe two funny moments to me.
