This is such an important middle grade book. It’s a lot like the book Refugee. I love looking at the world through a child’s eyes. It’s such a good reminder to love and help everyone. This is such a sweet story about the importance of supporting refugees and empathy.
Moderate: Abandonment, Racism, Racial slurs, Bullying, Child death, Death, Islamophobia, and Xenophobia

"The world has never been kind to the refugee.”
This book conveys the story from a child's perspective and how they see refugees. Ahmet the new boy in this school is a refugee from Syria, and these 4 kids are trying tirelessly to become Ahmet new friends and gave him comfort, also protect him from the bullies.
Reading this book, I can truly feel the genuine love of friendship and how innocent these kids are. I also respect the people around them such as the mom who keeps encouraging this kid and giving them information about what refugee is and how you should be friends with anyone without discriminating them.
This book is so wholesome and pure, it teaches the young audience to always to spread kindness also the meaning of true friendship. I have a fun time listening to this audiobook!
