This was a DNF for me. I only finished about 40% of it. I was looking forward to this book because Gideon grabbed my attention in his appearance in the other books. And Layla seemed interesting in Trapping Quincy. But this book did nothing for me. I didn’t like the pacing nor the build up for the relationship. If I decide to come back to this, I’ll update my review

Girl is a doormat. Girl meets rich powerful guy she is unnaturally drawn to. And him to her. Loose second love interest that has unreasonable expectations of her. Attempted arranged marriage. That climax when the over bearing parents got the bomb dropped on them in a very public place was unsatisfying.
